Session 3 SAT/ACT Homework Assignment
- Print out and complete as a test simulation Math Sections 3 and 4 of Practice SAT 2 from the Official SAT Study Guide.
- Time yourself strictly on each section:
- Section 3: 25 minutes for 20 total questions
- Section 4: 55 minutes for 38 total questions
- Use the provided grid sheet to bubble your
answers; when grading, grade your grid sheet rather than your test
booklet (as will be the case on the real test).
- Grade yourself using the answer key (immediately following the test in the Official Guide) and mark and review any questions you didn't answer
correctly.
- Editing (SAT Writing/ACT English)
- Print out and complete as a test simulation the English section of ACT Practice Test 2008-2009 (Form61C).
- Time
yourself strictly on this section - the limit is 45 minutes for 75 total questions over 5 passages.
- Print out the provided grid sheet (towards the end of the test document) to bubble your answers; when grading,
grade your grid sheet rather than your test booklet (as will be the case
on the real test).
- Grade yourself using the answer key (towards the end of the test document) and mark and review any questions you didn't answer
correctly.
- Science
- Complete the remaining two passages of the Science handout distributed at our most recent lesson (the three passages in the handout are the first three in the Science section of ACT Practice Test 2011-12 (Form 64E)).
- Do not constrain your time to complete these passages, since they represent only a portion of a full ACT Science section. But do note your time spent on each passage, as this is the warm-up for full timed science sections in the future.
